About

Believer. Thinker. Entrepreneur. Writer.

I’ve spent 40 years in real estate as a broker, appraiser, and advisor, working with owners, investors, and public agencies on the properties and markets that shape where people live. That work reaches from New York City to Southern California, and out to Hawaii and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

I founded Clarendon, a real estate advisory firm for affordable and conventional multifamily housing, offering brokerage, valuation, HUD Rent Comparability Studies, and market studies.

I’m also editor and publisher of MarketRent™, Clarendon’s market intelligence for rental housing, and founder of Chavah Media, a publisher of brands built to inspire, empower, and bring ideas to life.

The thread through all of it is how money, place, work, and life shape one another. I explore it most directly in Map & Parcel, a Chavah Media series on American real estate: place, property, and power.
